Input Output Global
Freelance Creative Consultancy
Upon starting at Input Output Global, the digital engineering organisation building the Cardano blockchain, I was assigned to the Ecosystem and Communities team to provide creative support. My primary responsibility was to develop supporting materials to promote their blog posts on new technologies and advancements across various social channels, with the dual goal of expanding the community and attracting developers to contribute to the growth of the Cardano blockchain.

During my time at IOG, the 'Why Cardano' project typified a creative brief I worked on. Developing an overarching design aesthetic, I crafted a diverse range of assets for this project that seamlessly aligned with the brief. The content comprised a design banner and an adaptable infographic in the traditional format for our blog page and carousel style for our LinkedIn audience.
The infographic featured bespoke symbols developed from the Cardano brand guidelines, ensuring brand consistency. Notably, given Cardano's popularity in Japan, I collaborated with their Japanese team to create a Japanese translation of the infographic, tailored for their specific channels. This endeavour showcased the adaptability and international appeal of the creative work undertaken for 'Why Cardano', leaving a significant impact on the project's success.

ScotsFest: the age of Voltaire
Edinburgh, the birthplace of Cardano's Ouroboros protocol, sets the stage for IO ScotFest: the Age of Voltaire. Hosted by Input Output Global (IOG) at the city's university in November 2022, the virtual event celebrated Cardano as the leading proof-of-stake blockchain and outlined plans after more than five years of successful operation.
As part of the project, my role was to create the event theme, promotional content and campus dressing. Drawing inspiration from Scottish traditions, we centred on the Scottish piper, symbolizing a guiding force for Cardano's journey into the future. The theme elegantly reflects the event's significance and emphasizes Cardano's commitment to community-driven governance and innovative blockchain technology with a nod to Scottish traditions and culture.

As part of the dynamic and multifaceted team at IOG, I contributed to various creative endeavours, including crafting promotional videos, designing themed cover graphics, and creating technical diagrams for infographics and technical papers. My contribution created a consistency which had been missing, adding value to IOG's initiatives whilst developing meaningful contributions to impactful projects within the organization.
